Petro emergency hits hard revelers in Dashain
Panchthar saw a lack of oil amid the bubbly time of Dashain.
The volume of oil based goods, imported before Dashain, was not sufficient to address the interest in the bubbly time.
With the petro emergency, the general population moving to the places of relatives for getting Tika and the revelers visiting Taplejung-based Pathibhara Temple, a popular religious site in the eastern district, were hit hard.
"We set out our voyage to the sanctuary for offering love yet were stranded in transit. We moved toward petroleum pumps however did not get. Nor did we get it outside. W were in difficulty how to return to our home", said Anil Tiwari, who headed out to the Pathivara Temple from Jhapa Birtamod.
Not just him, there are numerous different revelers who ran over inconvenience due to petro emergency.
"Oil was not accessible in pumps but rather it was being sold at the rate of Rs 150 for every liter. I was constrained to purchase petroleum in an over the top cost outside", said Hari Neupane, who was heading out to his dad in-law's home at Chandragadhi in Jhapa from Yangwarak rustic region of Panchthar.
